Fireflies, Fireflies, Fireflies!

Fireflies, Fireflies, Fireflies!
2023 was a good year for the native fireflies.
I usually try to shoot images of the fireflies' flight paths, but this year I focussed on the animals themselves and took as many macro shots as possible. The genus of this firefly is called Lamprohiza splendidula and is mainly found in NRW, Germany. All pictures were taken in the woods of Remscheid.

The first picture shows a collection of male fireflies. This picture consists of three individual motifs, which I have put together to form a panorama due to the same background atmosphere.
This picture shows a female Lamprohiza splendidula. These can be recognised by their much stronger luminosity and can only be found on the ground. The females cannot fly and are transparent to beige in colour.
The next picture is showing a male and female firefly doing...things.
...and at least a cute baby larva! The only time in life a saw one of them. And exactly in this night, i was around without my cam. So this picture is taken with a Google Pixel.
